In the Charlotte or Hickory areas? Visit our sister restaurant, Tony’s Pizza!
In the past few years, parents are choosing fast food options for lunch and dinner more frequently. Packed schedules create growing time restrictions leaving busy families little time for meal planning and preparation. Yet, kids can be picky about what they eat. When searching for food for kids near me they’ll love, visit Mario’s Pizza.
Often, pizza gets a bad rap when it comes to nutrition. However, processed types, like frozen supermarket offerings, are usually the unhealthy options. Many times, these contain high levels of food colorings, preservatives, and other unwholesome ingredients. Of course, at Mario’s Pizza, we use fresh, local ingredients. Our dedication to quality is a difference you can taste in every bite.
Ultimately, using fresh ingredients is also important for nutritional content. Pizza made from scratch can be quite healthy supplying many important minerals and vitamins. For example, many children refuse to eat fresh tomatoes. Yet, cook those same tomatoes into sauce, spread it on a pizza crust and kids will devour it.
Furthermore, tomatoes are an important source of lycopene, folate, potassium, as well as Vitamins C and K. Although cooking tomatoes destroys some nutrients, it also increases others. For instance, Vitamin C levels will decrease when heating them, but lycopene levels rise. As a powerful antioxidant, lycopene may lower insulin resistance, prevent cancer, and promote heart health. Thus, cooked tomatoes still pack a powerful nutritional punch.
Finally, pizza contains many other important nutrients:
Plus, you can get an additional boost of nutrients if you add vegetable toppings. Finally, kids love pizza pie. Not only is it delicious, but it’s easy for them to eat.
Another top favorite kids’ meal is pasta. Served plain, pasta has B vitamins, iron, protein, and fiber. Of course, topping pasta with tomato sauce increases its nutritional punch. At Mario’s Pizza, our kids’ meals include spaghetti and ravioli.
Certainly, no kids’ menu would be complete without chicken tenders. A good source of protein, B vitamins, selenium, and phosphorus, nuggets are a great finger food. If you’re worried about the health risks associated with fried foods, you can choose our grilled option.
Or, your kids can choose one of 2 sub sandwiches. Smaller-sized versions of our regular subs, our kids’ meatball and ham and cheese also come with fries. Plus, all kids’ meals include a drink. Comparatively, you’ll probably spend less for one of our kids’ meals than at any popular fast food restaurant.
While we love serving our little diners, we haven’t forgotten about those with larger appetites. Our family-friendly restaurant has an extensive menu that includes tasty Italian entrees:
In addition, our chefs prepare delicious salads, subs, calzones, strombolis, Italian desserts, and over a dozen appetizers. Our generous-sized portions often leave tasty leftovers for the next day.
Of course, we sell mouth-watering NY style pizza! Our thin, hand-tossed crust is crispy with just a bit of chewiness. Moreover, we offer 5 different size pies depending on the size of your crowd. Plus, you can personalize your pizza by choosing from over 30 different toppings. And if you can’t decide on the perfect toppings, you can opt for one of our specialty pies:
Your local family-friendly restaurant is a jewel in your neighborhood. Usually, you’ll find convenient locations, delicious food, and personalized dining experiences. If you’ve never dined at Mario’s Pizza, you may be wondering what makes us stand out from other eateries. Below, we answer a few commonly asked questions about our local restaurants.
Absolutely! If you want half and half or toppings on only one part of your pizza, just let your server know. You can even request a well- done NY style pizza for a deliciously charred crust and delightful browned cheese spots.
We offer both rice-based and cauliflower crusts. Many of our toppings are gluten free as well. However, we don’t have a dedicated kitchen and cross-contamination is possible.

Finding food for kids near me just got easier! Mario’s Pizza has everything you need to make a memorable meal. Why not order a pizza pie for dinner right now?
There’s something about eating a dish of baked lasagna. The tangy, sweetness of the tomato sauce, gooey cheese, and pasta tantalizes your taste buds in every delicious bite. For good reason, it’s one of America’s favorite comfort foods. Moreover, when you want some of the best lasagna near me, stop by Mario’s Pizza.
Indulging in a plate of baked lasagna releases some feel-good hormones in your brain. This dish belongs to a category of meals we call comfort foods. With the first bite, stress and anxiety can melt away as positive memories and emotions surface.
Of course, the best tasting lasagna begins with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. But, which ingredients do you put in your dish? Do you prefer using bechamel sauce like the version from the Emilia-Romagna region or ricotta like the Naples recipe?
Like many other foods originating in Italy, you’ll find some variations in this dish as you travel through different regions. In the north, most Italians use spinach pasta layered with tomato and bechamel sauce followed by a sprinkling of parmesan. The southern version is more like the American version. It has pasta noodles layered with meat tomato sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
Even so, when Italians emigrated to America, they couldn’t find the same ingredients as they did in their homeland. While keeping as much as possible to tradition, Italian immigrants substituted some ingredients. Today, brothers Tony, Mario, and Vinny replicate many of their family recipes from Calabria Italy in Mario’s Pizza kitchens.
Usually, baked lasagna can stand alone as a satisfying dish. However, sometimes you may want something extra. Like many other Italian dishes, lasagna pairs well with many different sides:
The fresh, crisp flavors of salad vegetables offer a nice contrast to the rich, savory flavor of lasagna.
How can you get every last bit of that delicious lasagna sauce? An order of garlic bread (with or without cheese) can soak it up.
With a robust buttery, garlic flavor, garlic knots pair well with any Italian dish. They have a crispy exterior and soft chewy interior making this side a popular choice.
Any way you like them, spicy or sweet, wings add a nice flavor contrast to lasagna.
The sweetness of the onion combined with its crispy exterior adds a satisfying crunch to your meal.
Of course, the best news about these pairings is that you can order all of them at Mario’s Pizza. Plus, we have plenty of other sides to choose from:
Although all these menu items are quite tasty, you’ll find many other delicious pasta options at our local Italian restaurants. We serve several other Italian dishes:
And, of course, we sell pizza. By the slice or pie, our NY style pizza has the foldable, crispy crust you know and love. Additionally, we offer more toppings and sizes than our competition. Our pies range in size from 10-inch to 24-inch with a choice of over 30 toppings.
Furthermore, we serve several specialty pizzas:
Are you still looking for more options? We also have calzones, strombolis, and hot and cold sub sandwiches. To finish your meal, we offer Italian desserts tiramisu, cannoli, limoncello mascarpone cake, and NY style cheesecake.
Is your mouth watering for some delicious Italian food? When searching for the best lasagna near me, visit Mario’s Pizza. Below we’ve answered a few questions about our Italian restaurants to acquaint you with our service and offerings.
American Italians love pizza, pasta, and families! Of course, we welcome children at all our restaurants and even have a menu for our youngest diners. Moreover, we’ve priced our kids’ menu items at $5 or less.

On Friday and Saturday, we’re open from 11 AM until 9:30 PM, and on Sunday 12 PM to 8 PM. You can enjoy dine-in, takeout, or home delivery through one of our transport partners at each location.

It’s dinnertime and everyone is hungry, but you’re tired of the usual takeout options. You want something local serving the best food. Why not order some delicious, hot pizza? When you need fast food near me, visit Mario’s Pizza.
In 1921, White Castle opened the first fast food restaurant chain serving burgers called sliders. However, the idea of grabbing a bite to eat while on the road isn’t a modern practice. Street vendors have been around since ancient times preparing and selling food to the public. Notably, ancient Rome had vendors operating an early version of fast food.
Generally, fast food restaurants appeal to many consumers due to their convenience, price, and preparation time. In many cases, you don’t even have to leave your car to order and receive your food. Plus, it’s much cheaper than ordering food at a sit down restaurant. Finally, fast food fits the American busy lifestyle with food usually ready in 10 minutes or less.
Today, the fast food market has become crowded with many other choices. For example, Taco Bell, Subway, and Kentucky Fried Chicken have popularized fast food subs, tacos, and chicken. Unfortunately, many fast food restaurants have earned the reputation of preparing food quickly with little consideration given to quality. Furthermore, recent nutritional studies point to the high levels of salt, sugar, and preservatives in many convenience foods.
Instead, why not choose an option created by Italians, the originators of fast food? Pizza is one of America’s favorite foods with its crispy crust, sweet tomato sauce, and gooey cheese. Plus, it’s a quick food. Most pizzerias can bake your pie in about the same amount of time it takes to assemble a burger.
Our owners grew up in a large Italian family in the pizza making capital, Brooklyn, NY. Many of the recipes we use in our kitchens are heirloom recipes our ancestors brought from Calabria, Italy. Whether you choose to order out or food delivery, pizza is the perfect dinner choice:
We specialize in NY style pizza featuring a crispy, yet foldable crust. Our chefs always use the freshest ingredients and hand toss the crust, baked to perfection to achieve our irresistible flavor.
Choosing pizza toppings can subtly or boldly change the flavor of your pie. At Mario’s Pizza, we offer 32 options to personalize your pie.
Some days, your family may be hungrier than usual. That’s why we offer 5 different pie sizes. And if you happen to have leftovers, our food tastes great the next day.
Often, eating out with a family is expensive. However, pizza is a very affordable option. Plus, we offer specials to help you save even more money.
Ultimately, what our customers say about our food is the best measure of our quality. You can read our many positive reviews here.
In addition to serving tasty NY style pizza, our menu also includes other authentic Italian entrees:
Our menu also includes great tasting hot and cold sub sandwiches:
Plus, we offer over a dozen appetizers, salads, calzones, strombolis, and desserts. Furthermore, our kids’ menu is sure to please even the pickiest eater. Finally, we even offer party trays for when you expect a crowd.
Often, dinner is the meal that brings the whole family together. Picking the best fast food near me can set the tone for social interaction between members. Below, we answer a few commonly asked questions to show why Mario’s Pizza should be your choice for meals.
We have several convenient locations throughout the Triad Piedmont area:

The next time you’re searching for fast food near me, call Mario’s Pizza!
The average American adult eats 46 slices of pizza per year, according to Scott Max’s Pizza Industry Statistics report. Don’t settle for 46 slices of mediocre pizza from a chain restaurant. Instead, come to Mario’s Pizza, a local pizzeria right here in the Triad. You won’t find more delicious pizza slices near me than the authentic New York slices we serve up here at Mario’s.
While most consumers order an entire pie, there are a few reasons you might want to order just a slice of pizza. Yes, when you come to Mario’s, you can order just a single slice. Here are some of the reasons you might want to skip ordering an entire pizza:
Whether you order by the slice or by the pie, you’ll get the same great quality you can expect with all your food from our neighborhood restaurant. Our family has a long tradition of making high-quality Italian food. We started out making New York style pizza in Brooklyn, and moved south to North Carolina in the 1980s. We’ve been perfecting our family recipes ever since.
New York is one of the most famous cities in the world when it comes to food. The Big Apple is famous for bagels, street hot dogs, cheesecake, pastrami sandwiches, General Tso’s chicken, egg creams, and of course pizza. Unlike Chicago-style pizza, which restaurants serve in a deep dish with a fork, NY-style pizza is thin and foldable so you can carry it down the street and eat it with one hand. The dough is crispy yet chewy, and the slices are huge. While some people believe that the city’s water gives the dough its special flavor, we know it’s all about the ingredients, the recipe, and the way we cook the pizza. We’re able to make authentic NY-style pizza right here in the Triad.
Here’s what people have to say about our pizza:
“Mario’s pizza is always outstanding. The staff is always attentive and ready to help customers. I LOVE their pizza. It’s very authentic and consistent.” – Tessa B.
“Hands down, the best pizza in Greensboro, especially if you’re a NYer at heart. The slices are HUGE and sooooo good!” – Jacqui H.
“I was raised in New York and loved the pizza from there. When I relocated to NC I was missing my NY pizza, till I discovered Mario’s. Mario’s Pizza is exactly NY Pizza. I no longer missed my NY Pizza from New York.” – Chris R.

You can feel good supporting our restaurant, knowing that what you pay for dinner is going right back into our local community.
Because we’re a local pizza chain with just a handful of locations here in the Triad, instead of thousands of restaurants around the world, you know you’re going to get top-notch customer service. We want you to LOVE our food. If you don’t, for any reason, please let us know so we can make it right. Our family takes pride in making sure that all our customers are happy. You work hard for your money; you should enjoy the dinner you buy.

With pizza being one of the all-time favorite foods among Americans, it’s no surprise we have plenty of pizzerias. Yet, finding the closest pizza parlor doesn’t mean you’ll get the best-tasting food or great customer service. When you want delicious, authentic New-York style pizza served with a smile, stop by the nearest Mario’s Pizza.
Pizza restaurant, pizzeria, or pizza parlor – all these terms refer to an establishment specializing in pizza. While you might find plenty in your area, not all pizzerias serve the same kind of pie. Since its introduction in America, pizza has undergone transformations changing the crust, cheese, and order of toppings.
Yet, with all these changes, the most popular continues to be NY style pizza. Its hand-tossed crust is thin and crispy with just a bit of chewiness. The tomato sauce must be thick enough not to make the crust soggy, but thin enough to spread. Of course, the only cheese for NY style is low-moisture mozzarella. Ultimately, it has the ideal melting and stretching properties when baked in the oven.
Inarguably, the best NY style pizza makers originate from Italian communities in the 5 boroughs area. The owners of Mario’s Pizza grew up in one such neighborhood before moving to North Carolina in 1981. They opened their first restaurant in the Jacksonville area before moving to the Piedmont Triad.
Today, the popularity of Mario’s Pizza continues to impress new customers while delighting old ones. Our Samet Drive High Point location ranks in Yelp’s top 5 pizzerias in the Piedmont Triad area. Foursquare ranks our West Wendover Greensboro location in the top 5 and our New Garden restaurant makes the top 15.
When you’re searching for the closest pizza parlor with the best pizza in town, choose Mario’s Pizza. Here are some of the reasons why residents prefer our authentic New-York style pizza over the competition.
One of the reasons our food tastes so good is because we use fresh ingredients. Free from preservatives, salt, and sugar additives, the real taste of food shines through.
Authentic Italian entrees begin with family recipes and we have them. Our family brought them over from Calabria, Italy when immigrating to the US many years ago.
From traditional to the more exotic, we offer over 30 toppings to customize your pizza. That’s more than our competitors.
Our pizza slices and pies are huge! Who else makes a 24-inch pie? If that happens to be too big for you, we also sell 10-, 15-, 17-, and 19-inch pies.
We combine certain toppings to create our specialty pizzas. You can choose from 5 different flavors:
Plus, we offer both cauliflower and gluten-free rice-based crusts.
You don’t have to search far for locations near you because we have 9 restaurants in the Piedmont area:
Furthermore, we offer delivery through our partnership with companies like DoorDash. Combined with easy online ordering, we make it simple to dine on delicious pizza.
In addition to serving great-tasting pizza, our local restaurant serves other delicious menu times:

Subs take the ordinary sandwich and by switching the bread, create a new dining experience. With a long, log-shaped roll and your choice of hot or cold ingredients, it’s a satisfying meal. One popular version has thin slices of beef smothered in cheese. When you’re searching for a delicious version of a steak and cheese sub near me, visit Mario’s Pizza.
The Philly cheesesteak is a combination of gooey cheese, savory steak, and chewy roll that is hard to resist. This sub has become such a recognizable classic that it has a national day on March 24th. Yet, did you ever stop to think about the humble beginnings of this delicious sandwich?
Although slightly different versions of the story exist, everyone agrees that it began with Pat and Harry Olivieri. These 2 brothers operated a hot dog cart in Philadelphia in the 1930s. One day, Pat and Harry cooked up some beef with onions and placed it in a roll. While the sandwich was popular, it wasn’t until the addition of provolone a few years later that it became classic.
Today, you’ll find different versions of the steak and cheese sub. For example, some restaurants serve these subs with American cheese or Cheese Whiz. Others add bell peppers and mushrooms. Whichever way you like it, finding a great steak and cheese sub near me can be a delicious dining experience.
Usually, when looking for a restaurant serving hot and cold subs, you have plenty of choices. You can pick Jersey Mike, Firehouse Subs, Subway, Jimmy Johns, Quiznos, and …well you get the picture. While national chains have their place, most diners prefer local restaurants because quite simply, the food is better. Furthermore, residents of the Piedmont Triad area have one such establishment, Mario’s Pizza.
Since the 1980s, brothers Vinny, Tony, and Mario have been serving residents of NC with great-tasting food. In addition to creating a delicious steak sandwich, we have 10 other hot and cold subs:
When you order one of our subs, you can have it Mario’s Way or Philly Style. If you choose Mario’s Way, we top your sub with cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, mayonnaise, oil, and vinegar. While Philly style includes cheese, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. Additionally, we can customize your sub to your preference.
One big difference between a national sub fast food restaurant and Mario’s Pizza is our other options. Perhaps you’d like to start your meal with some jalapeno poppers or breaded cheese sticks. While you can’t get them at one of the big chains, you can order them at Mario’s Pizza.
In addition to about a dozen appetizers, salads, and desserts, we serve several delicious Italian entrees on the menu:
Of course, we also serve our specialty, hot and delicious NY style pizza. Our crust has that thin, crispy crust you expect, topped with our family recipe tomato sauce. Moreover, we offer over 2 dozen toppings and several sizes to fully customize your pie.
Plus, with 9 locations throughout the Triad, you’re never far from us:
Is your mouth watering yet? If you’re ready to order a great-tasting steak and cheese sub near me, stop by Mario’s Pizza. Below, we answer a few commonly asked questions.
Many people dispute which type of cheese is the best and the choice usually comes down to your preference. However, a Philly cheesesteak uses only one of 3 kinds of cheeses: American, provolone, or Cheese Whiz.
Generally, a sandwich is 2 slices of bread or a split roll with filling in between. However, when making a sub, you need to use a long roll. Thus, a sub is a type of sandwich. Since we serve our steak on a cylindrical roll, it’s a sub.
Our customers! Here’s what a few of them say about our steak subs:
We go to Mario’s on New Garden. Love the pizza, Strombolis, cheesesteak subs. Never had a bad meal. Everyone is friendly and the order is always hot, ready and error free. Closest to NY pizza. Pat D.
My husband and I shared a large Philly Cheese Steak and it was delicious. The bread was baked to perfection. It was light and crispy without being tough. The steak was cooked to order and served up steaming hot, just the way I like it. I definitely recommend it and will be going back. Linda R.
Great first visit. Had the steak & cheese sub to go. Fantastic sub. Friendly staff. The place was clean and orderly. Jimmy C.

You’re hungry and craving some Italian comfort food. With so many choices, how do you find one serving delicious meals? Stop by Mario’s Pizza where we offer some of the best Italian food in Winston Salem NC.
Usually, the rankings of America’s favorite Italian food vary according to who’s conducting the survey. However, several dishes always top the list. As one of the top Italian restaurants in the triad, we include all of these delights on our menu.
Although Americanized versions aren’t like what you’d find in Italy, these dishes do have their beginnings with Italians. When immigrants arrived on our shores, they found different ingredients than at home. Tweaking family recipes to adapt to new ingredients, Italians created new variations that have become beloved classics.
The founders of our restaurant belong to one of these Italian families who left their home to come to America. Brothers Mario, Tony, and Vinny grew up in the predominantly Italian borough of Brooklyn, NY. From an early age, the brothers learned how to toss a pizza and create mouthwatering Italian dishes. In 1981, the brothers moved to the NC coast to open their first Mario’s Pizza in Jacksonville and Havelock.
Today, you’ll find Mario’s Pizza in 9 locations in the greater Piedmont area. Thus, it’s easy to find some of the best food near you. We’re still serving great-tasting NY style pizza, but we’ve expanded our menu to include many classic Italian/American dishes.
Although many Italian dishes have changed, some foods are still very similar to the originals. Ravioli has been a popular dish in Italy since the 14th century. Back then, families served this dish in a broth. When 16th-century explorers brought tomatoes from the New World, Italians began serving them in tomato sauce. Like many Italian dishes, variations of the ravioli vary depending on the region. However, stuffing this pasta with cheese is the most popular. We’ve taken this dish a step further with our fried ravioli appetizer!
Another dish that hasn’t changed much is the Italian sausage. Typically, many different types of Italian sausages exist in both cured and fresh forms. While the exact seasonings may change with the region, Italian sausage always contains fennel.
You’ll find both of these items on our menu along with other favorite dishes. We serve several kinds of pasta meals along with calzones, stromboli, and subs. Our signature dish is NY style pizza offered in several sizes and plenty of topping choices.
Additionally, to finish off your meal, we offer several authentic Italian sweets. As with many food inventions, the origins of some of these classic desserts are a mystery. While tiramisu and limoncello mascarpone cake are fairly recent inventions, the cannoli trace its origins back to the 10th century. In addition to these iconic Italian desserts, Mario’s Pizza also serves NY style cheesecake.
Of course, we can talk all day about how we serve the best Italian food in Winston Salem NC. However, it’s our customers who return again and again and leave us great reviews that prove our meals are great:
We get carry out pizza from Mario’s on Cloverdale Ave in WS regularly. It is GREAT! The cannolis are fantastic too. And the people who work there are the nicest. Love it! – Mary K.
We Googled pizza near me and we landed on Mario’s Pizza. Mario’s can be found in a strip mall so for people who don’t look for these little gems are missing out on really good food. We got a slice of pizza, 4 mozzarella sticks and a drink for $8.50 for each person. Great food for a very reasonable price, that’s a win for our lunch. Their pizza sauce and marinara was some of the best we’ve eaten. The sauce was not bitter and had a great balance of spices. We will definitely go back if in the area again. – Rebecca B.
Mario’s has the best pizza in Winston-Salem, NC hands down. The crust is always perfectly crisp and all the toppings you add are plentiful. The flavor is superb. – Fran B

Each menu item is homemade and crafted with secret family recipes that can’t be remade anywhere else. We moved our family-owned business to North Carolina in 1981 and have been growing ever since. It is our pleasure to serve the Triad with our authentic Italian food.
Our business got its start with delicious slices of authentic New York style pizza. Some people don’t know the difference between this style of pizza and others, but Mario’s has perfected the pie. You’re sure to get a bite of doughy, cheesy goodness in every slice.
So, what’s the difference in New York style pizza? One of the other most popular pizzas is the Chicago slice, which is traditionally referred to as a deep-dish pizza. New York style is different from Chicago style in that our slices are thinner and crispier. They are also larger in size, making slices easily foldable for a quick handheld bite.
New York style slices are perfect for those in a hurry, as you can fold the massive slice into a sandwich and eat it without any utensils involved. When we first started selling our slices in Brooklyn, this style of pizza became perfect for busy city goers in search of a quick bite. They are also ideal for large groups needing to feed many mouths at an affordable price, including families, friends, and parties. Mario’s is also proud to make each pie by hand, tossing the dough to perfection and loading each crispy circle with mounds of cheese, sauce, and your toppings of choice.
While Mario’s is proud to offer several Italian entrees, we also offer additional menu items if you’re in the mood for something lighter. These include our subs and salads, to name a few. We offer several versions of our subs and salads, giving you a generous selection sure to satisfy whatever you’re in the mood for.
Our subs and salads also provide a lighter option for those who want a less filling meal. Additionally, they can be ideal for those with dietary restrictions or accommodations. Below are a few of our popular subs and salads – click the menu button on our website to see the full menu!
Our salads also pair well with a slice of pizza! Fortunately, Mario’s offers pizzas both by the pie and by the slice. For those with dietary restrictions, try our gluten-free or cauliflower crusts. They provide the same delicious taste and crispy bite as our traditional crusts!
Here at Mario’s, we fully believe that no meal is complete without a decadent dessert to top it off. Better yet, we like to start with dessert too! Whichever way you choose to enjoy dessert, make sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with a treat from Mario’s Pizza Greensboro menu.
It can be hard to find an authentic Italian dessert that tastes real. Authentic ingredients can become costly and increase the price to make these desserts. We strive to offer our Italian desserts at an affordable price to share our secret recipes, from our family to yours.
One of our most popular sweet treats is our Limoncello Mascarpone Cake, which is as close to a taste of Italy as you can get (without actually going)! This dessert is crafted with layers of Sicilian lemon-infused sponge cake between creamy Italian mascarpone, topped with tantalizing curls of European white chocolate. Try a slice with your next meal or grab one to-go and save it for later.
Besides limoncello mascarpone cake, we also offer a few other desserts that are equally delicious. Choose from our authentic cannoli, tiramisu, and New York style cheesecake if you’re looking to sample more flavors of Italy.

Cloverdale Avenue borders the northern edge of the Ardmore neighborhood, a suburb of Winston-Salem. Established in the early 1900s, this charming area is the largest historic district in the city. The area’s location allows for access to both Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Both employees of the hospitals and residents of the neighborhood are close to the Marios Cloverdale location.
The story of Mario’s Pizza began in the pizza-making capital of the U.S., Brooklyn, NY. Three Italian brothers left their home and moved to the NC coast. With old family recipes in hand, they opened a pizzeria in Jacksonville and Havelock, serving great-tasting NY style pizza.
Over the years, the brothers extended their menu offerings to include other Italian food and opened new restaurants. Today, you’ll find 9 locations throughout the Triad including the Marios Cloverdale location:
Our convenient Cloverdale location can cater to both hospitals which employ thousands of workers. Moreover, we’re easily accessible to businesses in downtown Winston-Salem. Whether you’re hosting a business meeting or lunch for the office, our menu offerings are sure to please everyone.
Plus, we’re great for dinner on those frantic, hectic days when time just seems to slip away. Too busy to cook? You can place your order ahead of time and we’ll have it ready for you when you arrive.
America is home to many different styles of pizza, usually named after the location of its birth:
However, out of all the various types, NY style pizza is the favorite kind. It begins with its thin and crispy yet chewy crust. Although the ingredients are important, so is hand tossing the dough. This method of gently stretching the dough helps to produce its wonderful texture. Of course, using fresh high-quality ingredients for the sauce and toppings contribute to the deliciousness. Finally, baking pizza pie at extremely high temperatures locks in the flavor.
At Mario’s Pizza, we follow time-honored traditions and follow old family recipes to make our outstanding pizzas. Plus, we serve several different sizes depending on the number of people dining:
Moreover, to accommodate different tastes, we offer plenty of toppings to customize your pie. Our selection of 32 options includes traditional favorites like pepperoni, sausage, black olives, and tomatoes. Yet, we also have some exotic toppings like broccoli, pineapple, jalapenos, and Kalamata olives.
Additionally, we serve several specialty pizzas combining several great toppings in one delicious pie:
Of course, pizza pie is the perfect food for any luncheon meeting. It’s affordable and almost everyone loves it. However, sometimes you may want something different. For those times we offer party trays of your favorite Italian food:
Plus, you can pair one of these trays with our party-size garden or Greek salad to complement the luncheon. Finally, you can choose a garlic knot or deliciously sweet cannoli tray to create a truly memorable meal.
Or, if you prefer individual meals, you can order some of our daily specials. On Tuesdays, we offer a stromboli/calzone special. Alternatively, you can order any one of our delicious small sub sandwich specials any day up until 4 PM. You can choose from these mouthwatering sandwiches:
